Free tool
Learnomy, LearnDash, LifterLMS, Tutor LMS or Sensei. Six questions, one answer, and the reasoning behind it. Learnomy is ours and installs free; the other four are third-party engines Reign has styled for years. The tool says which one fits, not which one we sell.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no signup.
Reign styles every one of them. The difference is what you pay to start and what you pay to make it look like the rest of your site.
| Engine | Starts at | Reign styling | Best when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Learnomy Ours | Free plugin, Pro from $149/yr | Native, no add-on | You are starting fresh and want one vendor for the theme and the LMS |
| LearnDash | Paid licence, no free version | LearnDash add-on, $39/yr | You need its integration catalogue, or your courses already live there |
| LifterLMS | Free core, paid add-ons | LifterLMS add-on, $39/yr | Membership tiers matter as much as the courses |
| Tutor LMS | Free core, paid Pro | Tutor LMS add-on, $39/yr | Several instructors need their own dashboards |
| Sensei | Free core, paid extensions | Sensei add-on, $39/yr | You sell courses through WooCommerce |
Third-party licence prices are set by their own vendors and change, so check with them before you buy. The Reign prices are ours: the theme is $99 a year or $249 lifetime, and each add-on is $39 a year.
