Course community
Build a course community on WordPress - 4 LMS engines
A WordPress course community where students enroll, complete lessons, and discuss in the activity feed. Learnomy is the free way in and Reign styles it directly. If you already run LearnDash, LifterLMS, or Tutor LMS, keep the engine: each has a matching Reign add-on.

How to choose between them.
Start with Learnomy if you have not already committed to an LMS. It is ours, it installs free, and it covers courses, lessons, quizzes, progress and certificates. Because it shares a user record with the rest of the family, a student is the same person in the community, the forum and the course, with nothing to integrate. Reign styles it with no add-on.
Choose LearnDash if you need the largest ecosystem. It is the most established WordPress LMS, there is an add-on for almost anything, and it is a commercial licence from its own authors. LifterLMS suits people who want a free core and pay only for the pieces they use, and it handles memberships alongside courses better than most. Tutor LMS has a generous free core and is the strongest of the three for multi-instructor sites, where instructor profiles are part of what you are selling.
The honest rule: if you already run one of the three, keep it. Reign has a matching add-on for each, so the engine you have is not a reason to rebuild. The time to look at Learnomy is when you are starting fresh, or when the licence renewal arrives and you are asking what you are actually getting for it.
