Course community · Learnomy
Build a free WordPress LMS community with Learnomy
Courses, a member feed, and threaded discussion on one install, with every plugin in the recipe free to install. Learnomy runs the courses, BuddyNext runs the community, Jetonomy runs the discussion, and Reign styles all three with no add-on in between. LearnDash is the mature paid alternative, and Reign styles that too.
The Reign theme is the only thing you have to buy. See every plugin that installs free, or have us install the whole stack for $699.
Stack recipe
What you need to assemble.
Buy the theme. Install our plugins free. The third-party engine and its Reign add-on are here for people already running that stack, not a second bill everyone pays.
Build it in 5 steps
From zero to live community.
Install Reign, the one purchase
Reign is $99 a year or $249 once for a single site, and on this path it is the entire software bill. Activate it, run the demo importer, and you are looking at a finished community layout before you have configured a single feature.
Add the community engine with BuddyNext, free
BuddyNext free covers member profiles, an activity feed, groups, messages, and notifications. That is the whole social layer at no cost, and Reign styles it out of the box. BuddyNext Pro adds advanced moderation and deeper analytics from $149 a year, which is a decision for the day there is enough activity to moderate.
Build the first course in Learnomy, free
Learnomy free gives you courses, lessons, quizzes, student progress, and certificates. Publish one real course and find out whether anyone finishes it before you spend anything past the theme. Learnomy Pro adds payments, drip content, assignments, grading, and instructor payouts from $149 a year.
Add discussion with Jetonomy, free
A fast feed is the wrong shape for "how do I get through step 4 of lesson 3". Jetonomy free adds spaces, threaded discussions, and Q&A with accepted answers and voting, so the answer stays findable for the next student instead of scrolling away. Jetonomy Pro adds a moderation queue, reputation, private spaces, and analytics from $69 a year.
Know exactly where free stops
Free gets you a complete course community you cannot bill inside: payments sit in Learnomy Pro at $149 a year. Until you upgrade, sell access with a membership plugin such as MemberPress or Paid Memberships Pro. Or take the LearnDash road instead, which is paid from day one but carries the longer track record and the wider integration list, styled by the Reign LearnDash Addon at $39 a year for one site.
Add these free
More pieces you can add at no cost.
Same team builds the theme and the plugins, so these inherit the Reign design instead of needing custom CSS. The ones marked free install at no cost, and upgrades are sold per plugin, so nothing here needs a bundle.

FAQ
Common questions.
What does this stack cost?
The Reign theme, $99 a year or $249 lifetime for one site, and nothing else to start. Learnomy, BuddyNext, and Jetonomy all install free and Reign styles them directly. Add Learnomy Pro at $149 a year when you need payments and drip content, or Jetonomy Pro at $69 a year for moderation and private spaces. Hosting on a managed WP host runs $30-50 a month for under 1,000 active students.
What is actually in the free version of Learnomy?
Courses, lessons, quizzes, student progress tracking, and certificates. Payments, drip content, assignments, grading, and instructor payouts are Pro, from $149 a year. So you can build and deliver a complete course for free, but you cannot take the money inside Learnomy until you upgrade.
Should I use LearnDash instead?
It is a legitimate choice and Reign styles it properly. LearnDash has the longer track record and the widest integration ecosystem, and it costs money from day one. Learnomy starts free and comes from the team that builds the theme. If you have no courses yet, start with Learnomy. If you already run LearnDash, keep it and add the Reign LearnDash Addon at $39 a year for one site, or the LearnMate LearnDash kit from $129 a year for both together.
Do I have to use BuddyNext for the community?
No. Reign has styled BuddyPress and BuddyBoss for years and still does. If you are already on one of those, keep it and add the BuddyPress Community Bundle from $249 a year or $699 lifetime for our Pro community plugins on that stack. BuddyNext is the free way in for people starting from nothing, not a migration anyone has to make.
Is this the real software or a trial?
It is the shipping free version of each plugin, with no expiry. Each one sells its own Pro plan separately, so upgrading courses has no effect on what you pay for forums or community. There is no bundle you have to buy to unlock a single feature.
Ship it
Reign is the only thing you have to buy.
Learnomy and the rest of our plugins install free, and the theme styles them out of the box. Building on LearnDash instead? The LearnMate LearnDash kit ships the theme with the matching Reign add-on.
