What LearnMate LearnDash actually is.
The Reign theme plus the LearnDash add-on, $129 against $138 separately. The add-on restyles course pages, lesson navigation, quizzes and student profiles so the LMS matches the community around it rather than sitting in LearnDash's default templates. LearnDash itself is a separate commercial licence from its own authors.
Who it is for.
For sites running LearnDash where the course experience should feel like part of the community, not a separate product. LearnDash is the most established WordPress LMS and plenty of sites are committed to it. If you have not chosen yet, Learnomy is ours, installs free, and is worth comparing before you buy a licence.
Installing it.
Install the theme, then the add-on, then the plugin the add-on is for, in that order. The add-on does nothing on its own; it is a styling layer that needs both sides present. Run the demo installer if you want the site to arrive looking like the demo rather than an empty WordPress. LearnDash itself is a paid plugin bought from its authors, so have that licence in hand before you start. Budget an afternoon for the setup and another for the content.
What the licence covers.
The licence covers updates and support for its term, and you keep the software if you let it lapse; what stops is updates and support, which on a site taking money is not something to let slide. At $129 it covers the Reign theme and the LearnDash add-on, against $138 separately. LearnDash is a commercial licence from its own authors and is not included, so have that in hand. Renewals are the usual annual cycle. Everything third-party named here is licensed separately by its own authors, which is worth budgeting for before you start rather than discovering at setup.

- How does this compare to Learnomy?
- Learnomy is ours, installs free, and handles courses, quizzes, progress and certificates with no separate licence. LearnDash is more established with a larger add-on ecosystem. If you are already on LearnDash this kit is for you; if you are choosing, try Learnomy first since it costs nothing to evaluate.
- Does the licence cover more than one site?
- Check the tier you are buying at checkout, since licences are sold per number of sites and the right tier depends on how many installs you run. Agencies building for clients should look at the higher tiers rather than buying a single-site licence repeatedly.
