8 migration walkthroughs
Migrate to Reign. From wherever you are.
Each guide covers what migrates cleanly, what needs rebuild, the step-by-step cutover process, and FAQ specific to that source platform. Or have the Wbcom team handle the whole migration for $699 flat.
4-8 weeks
From Mighty Networks
Most Mighty customers migrate to cut the ongoing $33-$179/month cost, own the URL + email list, and integrate with their existing WordPress stack.
3-6 weeks
From Circle.so
Circle migrations are driven by the cost ($49-$399/mo recurring), the desire to own the URL + SEO equity, and integration with WordPress stack you already use.
3-5 weeks
From Skool
Skool migrations happen when communities outgrow the opinionated course-first model, need flexible tier pricing, or want to own the URL.
1-3 days (data stays, only theme + styling changes)
From BuddyBoss
BuddyBoss Theme plus Pro renewals plus add-on subscriptions add up. Reign is $99/year or $249 lifetime for the theme, and the Wbcom plugins around it install fr...
4-8 weeks
From Facebook Group
Facebook Groups lose data + reach to algorithm changes constantly. Migrating gives you owned URL, email list, and member discovery.
6-12 weeks
From Discord
Discord migrations happen when communities need SEO-indexable content, paid membership tiers, or content discoverable beyond the platform.
3-6 weeks
From Patreon
Patreon takes 8-12% cut + hides patron emails. Reign + MemberPress + Stripe keeps 100% of recurring revenue + owns the email list forever.
2-4 weeks
From Discourse
Discourse migrations happen when forum-only sites need to add LMS, marketplace, or member directory features Discourse does not provide.
What every migrator asks first
Four answers up front. No surprises mid-migration.
Data loss
Member email + name + join date + group membership migrate cleanly via CSV. Posts/threads import as WordPress posts. Direct messages and reactions usually do not migrate (platform limitation, not Reign).
Rollback
We run staging in parallel with your source platform until cutover day. If anything looks wrong, your source community stays live - we never delete it.
Member experience
Members log in with their existing email + a one-click password reset link. We pre-write the migration announcement template so your community knows what is happening.
$699 service scope
The flat $699 covers: member CSV export, content migration up to 5,000 posts, Stripe/PayPal billing rewire, member announcement template, 30-day post-launch support. Migrations over 5K posts or with custom field mapping quoted separately.
From customers who migrated
Real numbers. Real timelines.
"We moved 800 members from Mighty Networks to Reign in three weeks. The Wbcom team kept Mighty live until our launch day, exported the CSV, set up Stripe so existing subs kept billing without interruption. Zero churn."
Priya
Course community founder
"Moving off Circle to Reign saved us $4,800/year on the platform fee alone. The actual migration took 5 weeks - longest part was rewriting threads as WordPress posts. Worth it - we own everything now."
