The features come from our own plugins and they install free - BuddyNext for the community engine, Learnomy for courses, Jetonomy for forums and Q&A, WP Career Board for jobs, Listora for directories, WB Gamification for points and badges. Each one sells its own Pro plan from $59 a year, so you only pay for the part that grows. Reign also styles BuddyPress, BuddyBoss Platform and PeepSo if you would rather keep the engine you have.

Is BuddyBoss Pro worth it over Reign?
BuddyBoss Pro at $228/year bundles the platform features into one subscription. On Reign the theme is $99 a year and the community engine, courses, forums, jobs, directories, events and gamification install free as our own plugins, so a first year is $99 unless you choose a Pro plan for one of them. Compare on what you actually need running, not on how much is in the bundle.
If the plugins are free, what do I pay for later?
Only the plugin whose Pro features you want. Learnomy Pro is $149/yr when courses start selling, Jetonomy Pro is $69/yr for moderation and private spaces, WP Career Board Pro is $69/yr for employer dashboards. Upgrading one has no effect on the price of the others, and the free versions keep running your content either way.
Can I migrate from BuddyBoss to Reign?
Yes. BuddyBoss Theme and Reign both sit on top of the BuddyPress / BuddyBoss Platform engine, so your member data + groups + activity stays. Theme switch is the move. Native mobile apps - which is better?
BuddyBoss App is the more established mobile app story (React Native, $1000+ one-time + ongoing). Reign does not ship a first-party mobile app. If a native mobile app is a hard requirement, BuddyBoss wins this dimension.
Is BuddyBoss not also WordPress?
It is, and that makes this the most even comparison here. You already own your data and your domain on BuddyBoss, so the usual ownership argument does not apply. What moving actually involves.
Both sides are WordPress, so this is a theme and plugin change rather than a migration. Your posts, pages, users and uploads stay exactly where they are in the same database. The work is in the community layer: BuddyBoss Platform is a fork of BuddyPress, so member data and groups largely map onto BuddyNext, but component settings, custom profile fields and any BuddyBoss-specific features need checking one by one.
