If you have not committed to LifterLMS yet
Learnomy does this job, and it installs free.
This add-on exists to style LifterLMS, which you buy from its own vendor. If you are starting fresh, Learnomy covers the same ground at no cost and needs no add-on, because Reign styles it already. Pro is $149 a year if you later want the paid features.
What Reign LifterLMS Addon actually is.
A $39 styling layer for LifterLMS on Reign. Course catalogues, membership pages and student dashboards pick up the theme's design rather than LifterLMS defaults, so a course looks like part of the site a student already joined.
Who it is for.
For sites on LifterLMS that own Reign already. Buying both together is cheaper as the LearnMate LifterLMS kit at $129. LifterLMS suits people who want a free core and pay only for the add-ons they use.
Installing it.
Install the Reign theme first, then LifterLMS, then this add-on. It is a styling layer and does nothing without both sides present, which is the most common support question. Activate, clear any page cache, and check the course catalogue and student dashboard on a phone as well as desktop. There is nothing to configure: the add-on either finds the plugin and styles it, or it does not.
What the licence covers.
The licence covers updates and support for its term, and you keep the software if you let it lapse; what stops is updates and support, which on a site taking money is not something to let slide. At $39 this is the add-on alone and assumes you own the theme. If you are buying both, LearnMate LifterLMS bundles them for $129. LifterLMS has a free core with paid add-ons from its authors. Renewals are the usual annual cycle. Everything third-party named here is licensed separately by its own authors, which is worth budgeting for before you start rather than discovering at setup.
Questions before buying.
- Does it cover the membership pages?
- Yes. LifterLMS handles memberships as well as courses, and the add-on styles both, which matters if you are gating community access by membership level.
- LifterLMS or Learnomy?
- Learnomy is ours and installs free, with community built into the same user record. LifterLMS has a longer track record and a broader add-on range. Reign styles both, so decide on features rather than on theme support.
- Does the licence cover more than one site?
- Check the tier you are buying at checkout, since licences are sold per number of sites and the right tier depends on how many installs you run. Agencies building for clients should look at the higher tiers rather than buying a single-site licence repeatedly.
