Engagement

Reign + GamiPress. Engagement integration.

GamiPress adds points, badges, ranks, and achievements to WordPress sites.

Reign + GamiPress drives community engagement. Award points for first post, helpful reply, course completion. Visible on BuddyPress profile.

The free alternative from us

WB Gamification does the same job in-house and installs free: Points, badges, and ranks earned from real member activity. On the paid plan: custom rules, leaderboards, and rewards. Reign styles it with no add-on, and GamiPress stays fully supported either way.

How it works with Reign.

Reign ships no plugin-specific styles for GamiPress, and does not need to: it mostly renders badges, points and leaderboards through shortcodes and blocks that inherit your theme's typography and colours. There is no override layer to maintain and nothing to break when either side updates. Because it draws inside your own containers, GamiPress output on a Reign page generally sits right without adjustment. Badge images are yours to supply, and that is where most of the visual quality comes from.

When to use it.

Use GamiPress when you want a mature, highly configurable gamification engine with a long list of triggers and add-ons. Our own WB Gamification covers points, badges and ranks earned from real activity, installs free, and awards across the whole family, so a member earns for finishing a course or answering a question as well as for posting.

4 steps to ship.

1

Install GamiPress (free core + paid add-ons).

2

Create point types: contribution points, helpful answer points, course completion.

3

Set up automatic triggers: first post = 10 points, accepted answer = 25.

4

Display on BuddyPress profile + leaderboard.

What to check once it is live.

Trigger each award condition yourself with a second account and confirm the points and badges actually fire, because a rule that looks right in settings often is not. Check the leaderboard renders properly on a phone, and make sure badge images are the right size rather than scaled-up thumbnails.

GamiPress integration questions.

GamiPress vs myCRED?

GamiPress is more flexible + better-integrated with WordPress events. myCRED is more economy-focused (point-as-currency for purchases). Both work on Reign.

What about WB Gamification?

WB Gamification is our own points and badges plugin. It installs free and awards points, badges and ranks from real member activity, with custom rules, leaderboards and rewards on the paid plan. Start there if you are building fresh; keep GamiPress if your rules are already wired to it.

Does GamiPress need theme support?

Very little. It renders through shortcodes and blocks that inherit your typography and colours, so it sits inside a Reign page without special handling. The visual quality comes mostly from the badge artwork you supply rather than from the theme.

GamiPress or WB Gamification?

GamiPress for depth and a large add-on ecosystem. WB Gamification when you want points, badges and ranks that span our whole family, free to install, so course completions and forum answers earn alongside activity posts.

Will gamification actually increase engagement?

Sometimes, and only if the rewards track behaviour you genuinely want. Points for posting produce posting, including posting for its own sake. Rewarding answers that get accepted, courses completed or events attended produces those instead. The plugin is not the hard part; deciding what to reward is.

Pick a bundled kit.

The Reign theme is $99/year or $249 lifetime and it is the only required purchase. Kits bundle it with the add-ons that style a third-party stack. Or skip the third-party stack: WB Gamification is ours and installs free.

What customers say on Trustpilot

Love this company

Love this company. Loved the REIGN product. They were there the entire time helping me set things up; and when things went wrong? They were quick to take action and help find a solution.
