Reign + WooCommerce. Commerce integration.

WooCommerce is the WordPress commerce foundation. Powers 40%+ of all online stores.

Reign + WooCommerce gives you full e-commerce on top of your community. Sell digital products, physical goods, services, memberships, or course access. Marketplace add-ons (Dokan / WCFM / WC Vendors) all build on WooCommerce.

How it works with Reign.

This is one of the deepest integrations in the theme. Reign ships a dedicated WooCommerce stylesheet, template overrides and its own WooCommerce widgets, so the shop, product, cart, checkout and account pages are designed rather than inherited. That matters because the default WooCommerce templates carry a lot of markup, and a theme that only tints them ends up with a store that looks bolted on. Third-party WooCommerce extensions are a different matter: they render their own markup and Reign cannot anticipate every one, so check anything unusual on staging.

When to use it.

Use WooCommerce when you are selling physical goods, or when you need the breadth of its extension ecosystem for shipping, tax or subscriptions. For digital-only products Easy Digital Downloads is lighter and Reign styles it too. If what you are selling is services with a vendor behind them, our own WP Sell Services covers that shape and installs free.

4 steps to ship.

1

Install WooCommerce via the WordPress plugin search.

2

Run the setup wizard for your store basics.

3

Pair with the Reign Dokan / WCFM / WC Vendors Addon if building a marketplace.

4

Style WooCommerce surfaces - Reign already handles this automatically.

What to check once it is live.

Walk the whole path on a phone: shop, product, cart, checkout, order received, then the account page. Most problems show up at the cart and checkout width rather than on the product page. Place one real order and refund it, and confirm the order email is not landing in spam.

WooCommerce integration questions.

Does Reign style WooCommerce out of the box?

Yes - shop, cart, checkout, account pages all inherit Reign typography + color tokens. No extra CSS required.

WooCommerce Subscriptions for recurring revenue?

Yes. WooCommerce Subscriptions ($199/yr) handles recurring billing. Stripe + WooCommerce Subscriptions is the canonical SaaS-on-WordPress stack.

Does Reign have real WooCommerce templates?

Yes. The theme ships WooCommerce template overrides, a dedicated stylesheet and its own WooCommerce widgets, which is why the shop and product pages look like part of the site rather than a default store dropped into it.

Will my WooCommerce extensions still work?

Core ones generally do. Extensions render their own markup and there are thousands of them, so the theme cannot pre-style every case. Test anything unusual on staging, particularly extensions that replace the cart or checkout templates outright.

Does WooCommerce slow a community site?

It adds what any plugin adds, and the honest way to find out is to measure your own site rather than trust a general claim. WooCommerce is heavier than most plugins because it adds its own tables, scripts and cart session handling, and it loads on more pages than it strictly needs to by default. On a community site the heavy pages are almost always the dynamic ones, profiles, feeds and directories, so that is where to look first if the site feels slow.

Pick a bundled kit.

The Reign theme is $99/year or $249 lifetime and it is the only required purchase. Kits bundle it with the add-ons that style a third-party stack.
