Transaction fee

A transaction fee is a cut of each sale taken by the platform, on top of what the payment processor charges.

Also called: platform commission, sales commission

When a platform takes a share of sales, your revenue funds their growth. It adds up on a busy site.

Look for who keeps the fee, and separate platform fees from card processing fees.
