What StoreMate WC Vendors actually is.
The Reign theme plus the WC Vendors add-on, $129 against $138 separately. Vendor dashboards, store pages and product grids match the rest of your community instead of using WC Vendors defaults. WC Vendors has a free core with paid extensions from its own authors, and runs on WooCommerce.
Who it is for.
For marketplaces that want something lighter than the larger vendor platforms. WC Vendors does the core job with less configuration and less weight, which suits smaller marketplaces and anyone who found the alternatives overbuilt. For services rather than products, WP Sell Services is ours and free.
Installing it.
Install the theme, then the add-on, then the plugin the add-on is for, in that order. The add-on does nothing on its own; it is a styling layer that needs both sides present. Run the demo installer if you want the site to arrive looking like the demo rather than an empty WordPress. WooCommerce and WC Vendors both need installing first, and commission and payout settings are worth configuring before you recruit any sellers. Budget an afternoon for the setup and another for the content.
What the licence covers.
The licence covers updates and support for its term, and you keep the software if you let it lapse; what stops is updates and support, which on a site taking money is not something to let slide. At $129 it covers the Reign theme and the WC Vendors add-on, against $138 separately. WooCommerce is free and WC Vendors has a free core with paid extensions from its authors. Renewals are the usual annual cycle. Everything third-party named here is licensed separately by its own authors, which is worth budgeting for before you start rather than discovering at setup.

- Is WC Vendors free?
- The core is, with paid extensions for specific features. That makes it a reasonable way to start a marketplace without committing to a licence. This kit covers the theme and the styling layer.
- Is it powerful enough for a real marketplace?
- For most small and mid-sized marketplaces, yes. It handles vendors, commissions and payouts. If you need elaborate vendor membership tiers or a deep add-on ecosystem, Dokan or WCFM will serve you better.
- Does the licence cover more than one site?
- Check the tier you are buying at checkout, since licences are sold per number of sites and the right tier depends on how many installs you run. Agencies building for clients should look at the higher tiers rather than buying a single-site licence repeatedly.
