What BuddyPress Community Bundle actually is.
This is the odd one out on the list: it is plugins only, with no theme included. You get the Pro versions of our BuddyPress and BuddyBoss community plugins in one licence, covering polls, hashtags, moderation, reactions and the rest, for $249. If you are already running BuddyPress or BuddyBoss under a theme you like, this adds the features without asking you to change the design.
Who it is for.
For sites already committed to BuddyPress or BuddyBoss Platform that want our Pro community plugins without switching theme. If you are starting fresh, look at a theme kit instead, or at BuddyNext, which is our own community engine and installs free. This bundle is the right answer when the engine decision is already made and settled.
Installing it.
Install the plugins against your existing BuddyPress or BuddyBoss install and activate the licence. There is no theme to swap and no demo to import, so nothing about your current design changes. Enable one plugin at a time and check the front end between each, because community plugins touch the same templates and a conflict is easier to find when you have only just introduced it.
What the licence covers.
At $249 this covers our Pro community plugins for BuddyPress and BuddyBoss in a single licence, with updates and support for the term. No theme is included, which is the thing to be clear about before buying: you pair it with Reign or any compatible theme you already run. BuddyPress or BuddyBoss Platform itself is free and comes from its own authors.
Questions before buying.
- Does this include the Reign theme?
- No, and that is the main thing to know. This bundle is Pro community plugins only, so it pairs with Reign or with any compatible theme you already run. If you want the theme as well, buy it separately or look at one of the theme kits.
- Do I need this if I use BuddyNext?
- No. BuddyNext is our own community engine and installs free, with its own Pro plan. This bundle is for sites running BuddyPress or BuddyBoss Platform, which is a different engine. Buying both would be paying twice for the same job.
- Does the licence cover more than one site?
- Check the tier you are buying at checkout, since licences are sold per number of sites and the right tier depends on how many installs you run. Agencies building for clients should look at the higher tiers rather than buying a single-site licence repeatedly.
