Private messaging

Private messaging lets two or more members talk one to one or in a small group, away from the public feed.

Also called: direct messages, DMs

Not every conversation belongs in public. Private messages let members ask a sensitive question, follow up on a post or arrange something without an audience.

Look for message search, blocking and reporting, notification control and clear rules on who can message whom. Without those, direct messages become a harassment channel.

Our plugins are self-hosted: no per-member fee and no share of your sales. See free vs Pro for what each tier covers.

Reign is the WordPress theme for building a complete community site: social network, courses, member directory, marketplace and job board on one install. Start with one, add the others when you need them, and keep one login for every member. Open a live demo, or launch a sandbox and get a fresh WordPress site to click through in about a minute.
