Running a community

Code of conduct

A code of conduct is the written set of rules for how members behave in a community and what happens when they do not.

Also called: community rules, community guidelines

Rules set the tone before problems start. They also give moderators something fair to point to.

Look for plain language, examples and a clear route for reporting.
