A member directory is a searchable, filterable list of everyone in a community, with each entry linking to that person's profile.
Also called: members list, member search
A directory lets members find each other by name, interest or location instead of waiting to meet in the feed. It matters most once a community is too big for everyone to know everyone.
Look for search, sensible filters, pagination that copes with thousands of members and a layout that works on a phone. Privacy settings should let members control whether they appear.
Reign is the WordPress theme for building a complete community site: social network, courses, member directory,
marketplace and job board on one install. Start with one, add the others when you need them, and keep one login
for every member. Open a live demo, or launch a sandbox and get a fresh WordPress site to click through in about a minute.
